Taste and See (Psalm 34:8)

People say a picture is worth a thousand words. In most cases, we agree, but videos are even better! The linked 12.5-minute YouTube video at https://youtu.be/oCzVyJF0oMY conveys much worth of the

university's Community Health Engagement training for what you've faithfully prayed and given trustingly and sacrificially to make possible. Enjoy! Enable subtitles by choosing 'English' when selecting the 'gear' symbol with your cursor or a tap of your touch-sensitive phone or tablet screen as the video loads to play. The testimonies share how believing teams of trainers inspire others to join our Creator God in what He does. They demonstrate to incredulous others the incredible worth created when believers work together, reflecting Gospel truth(s) that transform communities. One trainer returned home to recruit 45 others to learn Community Health Evangelism (CHE). Such happens because the evidential impact of the UFHB Community Health Engagement training grows. Thank you for being ministry partners for over 24 years!

Come and See (Psalm 34:8)

Verlin partially finished his unending "to-do" list for Abidjan and expects to travel to Bondoukou on Monday. He will catch up on laundry and head to western Cote d'Ivoire with several people to evaluate brick-making equipment, connect with a Bible Institute, and visit some CHE leaders and programs. Several Ivorian CHE efforts need buildings, including the agricultural endeavor in Bondoukou. In addition, ARC-en-Christ, the wonderful Christian marriage ministry hosting the CHE trainers annually for the university, must vacate the property they rent by July 2025. They plan to build a marriage center on a property they own. If the geo-beton (earth brick) press is as worthwhile as we hope, it will speed up their process and reduce costs for multiple other building projects.

Debbie had a disappointing week related to finding appropriate lodging for her parents. Two possibilities turned out to seem impossible at this time. Continue to pray that she finds worthwhile options to pursue that will, in fact, help us help her parents.

Prayer & Praise

  • πŸ™ Pray that the 85+ returning home implement what they learned during the university training. Some will have to persist even when no progress seems visible. May they choose the worthwhile means to transform their surroundings spiritually and physically.

  • πŸ™ Pray for safe travels as Verlin returns home and then goes to western Cote d'Ivoire soon after that. Ask the Lord to equip Verlin and ministry partners to identify human resources who can wisely advise the setup and work the unused brick press for a long time.

  • πŸ™ Ask the Lord to bring worthwhile people to advise Debbie's search for affordable and appropriate housing for her parents. It's a tricky balance. She spent significant time pursuing situations that will not work the past two weeks. The Lord has the best solution for this situation; she wants to see it clearly when He opens the door.
