Healthy Moms Choose CHE

Dear Friends and Ministry Partners,

This Mother's Day, Samaritan's Purse encourages the support of programs that focus on the nutrition and health of women. Community Health Evangelism (CHE) trainings and material provided the start for many of these programs (i.e. Liberia, Cambodia & SP Canada, Papua New Guinea, Kenya). Such interventions focus on discovering local resources to help the poor develop their own materials and skills to exit poverty.  This week’s less than 2 minute video features Wayne Grudem, a well-known theologian and an author of The Poverty of Nations:  A Sustainable Solution. Listen as he explains what happens when nations put into practice the Ten Commandments.

A FWB pastor trained to do CHE in Cote d’Ivoire requested special prayer this week. A five-year-old girl was terribly burned recently on the torso. Her father and mother were saved less than a month ago during house visits in their village as the area's CHE program re-initiates. Clearly, the enemy is trying to hinder the gospel taking root in this church-planting effort. We'd appreciate your prayers for the little girl, the family, and the village. Pray that the team will effectively use CHE lessons and teach heads of households how to build efficient and protected fires too.

Your partners in the Gospel,
Verlin and Debbie Anderson

The Christian Health Service Corps (CHSC) is a mission of dedicated medical professionals who participate in the CHE Global Network. Together, in a loose affiliation of individuals, churches, denominational and nondenominational agencies, we share God's Light and Truth through Community Health Evangelism (CHE). Verlin and Debbie remain in need of 30 partners at $100 per month of support, or that equivalent, to resume their ministry of expanding CHE ministries in Cote d'Ivoire under the auspices of the CHSC and Ivorian partners.
The Alliance for Transformation (ATM) unites the developing world's CHE Global Network with the developed world's Collaborative for Neighborhood Transformation (CNT). Both encourage the integrated spiritual and physical ministry of Christ by spreading life giving practices of God’s Word from house to house.
