Dear Friends and Ministry Partners,It is a blessing to share a PROGRESS report on several issues we asked you to pray about.
- Praise the Lord (PTL): Last week the ground was dry enough on family
property for the land to be cleared. Placing a house trailer on it will allow us to demonstrate a permanent residential interest in the U.S. That permits us to purchase markedly more affordable health and medical evacuation insurances.
Pray this finishes by mid-June. - PTL: The Women's Cycle of Life training Debbie pursued in Phoenix greatly increases her ability to minister and train others to use Community Health Evangelism (CHE). The Women's Cycle of Life CHE curriculum directly deals with women’s health issues and addresses gender inequality from the perspective that we are created by God and created equally. Teachings from the Bible are used that show both men and women are wonderfully made in God’s sight. The lessons are basic and simple to teach, making them easily transferable. Pray they become widely used in Cote d'Ivoire after our return to residence so that lives are saved and churches planted as is being done with farming, micro-enterprise, and clinic-based CHE programs.
- PTL: Cason and Suzanne (our son and daughter-in-law) have successfully completed some adoption classes and three house visits from the Tennessee Department of Children's Services. Hopefully, the scheduled May 26, 2015 meeting will finish with our future 2-year-old granddaughter being placed in their home. After six successful months serving as her foster parents, the adoption process could be finalized. Pray the remaining steps go smoothly.
- PTL: Corbin successfully completed his first year of college and returned to Nashville this week. Pray his summer of work further develops his life and work skills.
- PTL: Monthly financial support is being added regularly to our mission account. About $1,000 more per month was promised in the last 9 weeks. Your prayers make a difference. We thank you very much and ask that you continue to Pray as we estimate still needing the equivalent of 30 partners at $100 per month.
