NAFWB Meets

PDF version: Anderson WEEKLY 150722

Dear Friends and Ministry Partners,

Greetings from Grand Rapids, Michigan! We overlooked getting a note out last weekend as we shared during a weekend service and prepared for the National Association Meeting of Free Will Baptists (NAFWB).

Meeting at the Devos Center, representatives of churches from across the U.S. share tips and counsel for practical outreach, family discipleship, and sharing faith in Christ, while also supporting institutions that train new generations  to experience and share the Good News that God lives among men once again. The 7:00 PM worship services are live-streamed at http://www.fwbmedia.com/nafwb and can be viewed there later. We meet with many who support us while reconnecting with others who consider it.

We sent for passport renewal in early July, continuing preparations for Verlin’s six week trip to Cote d’Ivoire and Ghana. Thank you for a great second quarter of income with June's total over $8000. A further look at the numbers indicates that we’re about 70% funded for our return to residential ministry. We will seek affirmation to return to life and ministry there when that estimate breaks 90%. We need about 17 more partners of the 25 needed at $100 per month to see that day. Except for two annual gifts and a single gift, all funds come from Free Will Baptist churches and relationships that we have been blessed to develop during our lives. Many understand intuitively why the Holy Spirit led this shift of our ministry. Thank you for praying, working, and sharing to return us.

Prayer & Praise:
  • Pray for the growth of generational discipleship approaches where parents teach their children in the home as the CHE model has been stimulating for more than thirty years now. Sunday School and Life Group material continues a parallel shift to this discipleship approach in the U.S. via established ministries thanks to the influence of our friends at Randall House Publications.
  • Continue to pray for an uncomplicated passport renewal process so Verlin’s ticket and our invitations to reside in Cote d'Ivoire show the new passport IDs.
  • Pray for safety and wise speaking as we continue to visit supporters and friends during the week. We also travel to join extended Anderson family in reunion this coming weekend.
Thank you for being praying partners.
