Happy 4^thof July Weekend! As American citizens

gratefully celebrate 239 years of liberty, pray with us that thousands more people in Cote d’Ivoire will be “free indeed” by knowing Jesus. Today, our family reading of the Gettysburg Address reminded us to not let the great sacrifice of past patriots be “in vain.” May the faithful of this generation pass along a heritage of physical and spiritual freedom in our own country and to the rest of the world. This week we learned further of the plans to extend outreach from Bondoukou to see that happen. We pray that Ivorian believers, as well as we ourselves, grow in the Spirit until all are freely able to bow the knee before Jesus to prove among men what is good.

Nothing like torrential rains to say, “Welcome to town!” Parts of Cookeville and surrounding areas suffered a rough weekend of flooding with more hazardous weather on the way. Thankfully we did not have problems on our property while welcoming family for part of the holiday weekend, but we hurt for those nearby who have lost much and give thanks for the tangible love being demonstrated by disaster planning being put into action.

The Christian Health Service Corps (CHSC) is a mission of dedicated medical professionals who participate in the CHE Global Network. Together, in a loose affiliation of individuals, churches, denominational and nondenominational agencies, we share God's Light and Truth through Community Health Evangelism (CHE). Verlin and Debbie require about 26 partners at $100 per month of support, or their equivalents, to resume residential ministry of expanding CHE ministries in Cote d'Ivoire under the auspices of the CHSC and Ivorian partners.
