Cast and Bear

"Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee:  he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved." Psalm 55:22

Some weeks are so busy that trying to summarize events boggles the mind! Today we simply ask you to help us "bear the burden" (Gal. 6:2) of this upcoming week's activities in prayer. The outgrowths of activity will be shared as we go along.

Prayer and Praise:

The hybrid and promotional CHE (Community Health Evangelism /Education /Engagement) training hosted by the university begins with the arrival of trainers this weekend. Verlin has been like a hamster in a ball, darting about on a solid and smooth floor this week as the cycle of planning meetings between staff, hosts, trainers, and students occurred. Debbie has been in another ball of activity stateside. Here are some specific ways to pray as the September 13-16 sessions get under way.

        • Pray for physical strength, wisdom, and good coordination among trainers, university, and government representatives.
        • Ask that those performing the translation from English to French are clear and accurate.
        • Participants come from many walks of life and worldviews. Pray that the shared truths of Scripture will penetrate hearts and that those who have started CHE ministries will exactly get the guidance and encouragement needed.
        • Right after the packed week of university training, the AISEC (i.e. Ivorian Association of CHE) will have their fourth annual meeting on Saturday, September 17.
        • Debbie arrived in Michigan late Wednesday night with Verlin's mother. Ask the Lord for three good weeks of interaction with ministry partners. Also, she and Elsie have completed about one-third of the work on our email distribution problem. Another 40 to 60 hours should complete the work to make sure partners are receiving our weekly news.
        • Keep Corbin in mind with us as he has more distance between himself and family than our children had while pursuing their undergraduate degrees. PTL that Tuesday Corbin successfully passed the first of two exams that will allow him to be exempted from a class!
        Your partners of the Gospel,
        Verlin and Debbie Anderson
        • Christian Health Service Corps (CHSC) is a mission of dedicated medical professionals who participate in the CHE Global Network. Together, in a loose affiliation of individuals, churches, denominational and nondenominational agencies, we share God's Light and Truth through Community Health Evangelism (CHE). Verlin and Debbie accept donor partners to contribute as led to maintain support as we resume residential ministry to expand CHE ministries in Cote d'Ivoire under the auspices of CHSC & Ivorian partners. Tax deductible contributions by check are to be made payable to the CHSC with Andersons #0118 written on the memo line. Mail to CHSC - PO Box 132 - Fruitvale, TX 75127. Give online via the CHSC @ www.che4a.org (3% fee) or TDF (0% fee).
